Community Volunteers Foundation (TOG)
On Saturday, June 28, Park hosted a new workshop at the Starbucks Community Store in Ümraniye in collaboration with Starbucks and the Community Volunteers Foundation (TOG). Named after its material, Transformation Workshop: Brown explored how coffee can become a medium for creative production rather than simply a drink.
The material of the workshop was clear: coffee. But this time, it was poured onto paper instead of into a cup. Some participants deepened its tones, others diluted it. Participants first observed the range of colors and then began painting. As the density of the coffee changed, fluid tonal transitions emerged, forming unique patterns. The resulting surfaces offered not only a visual experience but also a sensory trace shaped by the material itself.

Guided by instructor Nurbanu Kılıçer, each participant gradually found their own rhythm in the process. Some drew inspiration from the coffee rings left on the table, while others transformed the shadows of nearby plants into forms. As the workshop unfolded, the patterns became freer and the aroma of coffee subtly embedded itself in the images. Production shifted from a technical exercise to a personal form of expression.

The Brown Workshop became one of the events that made Park’s transformation-oriented approach to production visible. Hosted by the Starbucks Community Store and supported by TOG, the gathering emphasized that creative production is shaped not only by what we use as material, but by how we engage with it. The workshop evolved into a shared space for thinking and making together.
